Doug is a real estate professional with over 15 years of experience and hundreds of transactions. He was born in Chattanooga TN but raised in Decatur AL and relocated to Jacksonville in 2000. He graduated from Tennessee Temple University with a degree in Secondary Education and a History proficiency. After teaching for four years Doug ended up in distribution that he had learned by working his way through college in a grocery store distribution center. It was a job transfer with Interline Brands that brought him to Jacksonville where he settled on the Westside. He always had an interest in real estate and got his Sales Associates license in 2003 and followed that up quickly with his Brokers license in 2005. At that point Doug was involved as an owner in opening a general real estate company that he grew from 2 agents to 30 agents and became associated with a national franchise. He also obtained a Community Association Management license and developed that business to manage over 1,200 units. In 2009 Doug became a Broker Associate with Watson Realty where he was the Top Producer in his office in 2010. In 2011 he became involved in commercial real estate as Senior Director of Corporate Real Estate for a national distribution company with well over 200 locations across 23 states and also opened an in-house real estate company for which he was the Broker. During his time in this position he was involved in an average of 50 transactions per year. When Doug decided to get involved in general commercial real estate he considered several options and chose Watson Commercial Realty due to their strong presence in the market, company culture, resources and customer service. He stands ready to assist you in any of your commercial real estate needs whether you are buying, selling or leasing. On a personal note Doug has been married to his wife Shari for 33 years, has 4 children and two granddaughters with one more on the way! He is involved with his church and developed an obsession to cycling after knee surgery several years ago. His longest one-day ride so far was the 170 mile Cross Florida Ride from the Atlantic at Cocoa Beach to the Gulf just north of Tampa. Watch out for bikes! Please contact him for any of your commercial real estate needs and give him a chance to earn your business.
